All differentials could be ordered with or without LSD, except for these:

| 320i mit 3.64: | never with LSD |
| 325ix alle Diffs: | only with Viscous-LSD |
| 325ix Tour: alle Diffs: | only with Viscous-LSD |
| M3 beide Diffs: | only with 25% LSD |
| M3 Cabrio: | only with 25% LSD |
Country-specific models are not included in this table, and the information in this table is based on the models delivered to Germany. One known special exlusion is the 320iS which was only delivered in Italy.
