Hi,My name is Rick Klaassen, and I’m from The Netherlands. Together with my girlfriend I live in a “city” called Hoorn, which is located about 40 km north of Amsterdam, where I work.

I work for a fairly large Dutch “consumer” ISP called. I started working there in 1999 as a helpdesk employee, and currently I am a “Network Engineer”, which means I design networks, amongst other things.

As you might have guessed already, I’m something of a Nerd, Geek, Hacker or Whizzkid, and so my interests and hobbies mainly fit in with this lifestyle, I like:

• Messing around with computers, preferably slightly exotic, like Sun or Amiga computers
• Tinkering (and occasionally driving) my car

My political preference / opinion is quite leftish, altough I don’t know yet how to mix this with my gas-guzzling automotive needs - Rick
